Basic Life Support
BLS (CPR)
A practical course for health and care professionals who need confident, current and effective basic life support skills for all ages of patient. Delivered by HCPC registered paramedics, the course covers adult, child and infant resuscitation, AED use, airway care and emergency response in clinical and care settings.

Immediate Life Support
ILS
A practical course for health professionals who may be first to respond to a deteriorating patient or cardiac arrest. The course focuses on structured assessment, early recognition, high quality CPR, defibrillation, simple airway support, reversible causes, team roles and immediate action before advanced support arrives.

Dental Immediate Life Support
DILS
A dental specific immediate life support course for dentists, dental nurses and dental teams, particularly where sedation or higher risk treatment is provided. The course focuses on medical emergencies in dental practice, including ABCDE assessment, airway support, oxygen, suction, CPR, AED use, emergency team roles and escalation.

Emergency First Response (EFR) Courses
EFR is designed for health and care settings. Delegates receive dual certification in Emergency First Response and First Aid.

Emergency First Response 1 (EFR1)
With combined Basic Life Support award
A practical entry level course covering basic life support, CPR and the safe use of an AED, with time built in to address other common medical emergencies relevant to the setting, such as anaphylaxis, seizures, choking, fainting and sudden deterioration.

Emergency First Response 2 (EFR2)
With combined Emergency First Aid at Work award
A practical emergency response course covering the recognition, assessment and initial management of common illnesses and injuries. EFR2 develops confidence in managing medical emergencies, trauma, bleeding, shock and sudden deterioration, and includes the Emergency First Aid at Work award.

Emergency First Response 3 (EFR3)

A comprehensive emergency response course covering the assessment and management of a wide range of medical emergencies, injuries and sudden deterioration. EFR3 develops greater confidence and practical capability in managing complex incidents, and includes the full First Aid at Work award.

Clinical Skills Courses

Cannulation
A practical clinical skills course for health professionals who need to develop safe, structured peripheral intravenous cannulation practice. Teaching covers indications, consent, infection prevention, vein selection, equipment preparation, insertion technique, securing the cannula, flushing, documentation, complications and escalation within local clinical governance.
